Tell-A-Vision And Change the Programming for Good
“If you don’t like the current programming, turn off your TV and tell a vision
instead.”
If you don’t like the current programming, here’s a do-it-yourself project that
you can do yourself: Turn off your TV and tell a vision instead. We all have a
very clear and vivid picture of what we don’t want. It’s all over the TV. Yep,
we know what’s pulling us backward to the way it’s always been. To move forward
on the road not yet traveled, we have to find out what is calling us forth. And
that is tell-a-vision. I tell a vision to you, you tell a vision to me, and then
we step into these happy, functional visions instead of what we’ve been stepping
into the past few millennia.
Tired of Reruns? Picture Something New
Here’s the problem. Much of what we call “reality” is an out-picturing of our
inner pictures, and many of our inner pictures are simply reruns of the outer
pictures we see every day. So if we want to change the programming, we must get
out from behind the remote, tell our vision, and produce our own program.
Imagine a New Natural Anthem
For too long, humankind has been dreaming the impossible dream, and it’s worked.
We’ve become impossible. So now it is time for us to dream the possible dream
and create some new possibilities. First thing is, let’s transcend our old
national anthems, and create a natural anthem instead. We don’t need to affirm
bombs bursting in air, and what’s with these ram parts? Sounds pretty perverse,
if you ask me. The only ones who should be concerned with ram parts are sheep.
Seems to me we’ve been ramming parts for far too long. All of that unchecked
male energy, all of those stags going at each other, that has caused a
stag-nation. We need an Imagine-nation. And that is why I am pitching the song,
“Imagine” as our new Natural Anthem — to help us get out of the rutting rut and
imagine something different for a change.
Here is the good news: In a world of scarcity (not to mention “scare city”),
imagination is the most abundant resource we have.
Imagine This Vision ...
Imagine renewable, sustainable, nonpolluting energy so abundant that we need no
army to defend it. Remember the Manhattan Project where we focused all of our
resources on creating the first weapon of mass destruction? This would be the
Manhelpin Project, the ultimate weapon of mass construction that would end the
need for war once and for all. Imagine all the peoples of earth working together
as a team, playing a game where everyone wins. We’d have a healthy income, and a
healthy outcome — what could be better? And here is even more good news. Such a
project already exists.
But Seriously, Folks . . . In this Universe of infinite potentials, do you
think we could possibly find a better future than the one the Banana Republicans
are selling . . . endless warfare, environmental destruction, loss of civil
liberties, growing gap between rich and poor?
Don’t you wonder if there is a way we can use our infinite resource —
imagination — to impact the finite resources on our planet?
Remember, the first and key step toward improving reality is having an
out-picturing of a good picture, an alter native future where we natives are
altered for the better.
